"Our sweet baby boy is 1 today!"

Our sweet baby boy is 1 today! I can not believe it! On February 7, 2017 I woke up at 5:00 am feeling wonderful. My husband had already left for PT (Physical Training for the Army). I went to the restroom, then for some reason I was feeling quite awake. I remember that I was planning my day and checking my phone, my emails, Instagram, etc. Then I decided to go back to sleep, but around 7:00 am I had a painful contraction, then two minutes later another one, and so on! I was so scared and worry, I called my husband more than fifteen times that morning and he didn’t pick up since he was at PT. Then I called my sweet friend that we had planned to watch Mía Leticia when I was ready to go into labor. She came so quickly and helped me to stay calm. I tried so hard not to scream and to just relax but that pain that I had was just like someone was breaking me inside and burning my body. I went to hide in my closet with a pillow on my mouth, I didn’t want Mía Leticia to see me, but she came to the closet to tell me that everything was going to be ok and that she was there for me. Hermosa mi niña. After one and half hours my husband came home, and took me to the hospital right away, poor guy he was so sorry and feeling terrible, I could barely walk to the car, it was such a terrible pain that my mind and body were getting ready for labor in that exactly moment. After fifteen minutes of screaming and more screaming in the car and my husband speeding like crazy, we made it to the hospital to welcome our baby William (Liam) eight minutes later!

The only medicine I had for this labor was a dose of Tylenol and I was ready to go home. The doctors and nurses were so proud and happy for such a fun, quick delivery. Of course I was not, but I was happy that my body recovered so quickly and the next day I was feeling ready to go back to the gym. Crazy me! Two days later we were home with the most precious angel and motherhood become much more exciting and special with a family of 4!

2017 was a fun year of learning, moving from NY to TX, exploring new adventures and homeschooling. I never thought That I would homeschool but here I am, making it work with our preschooler and baby boy. It has been an easy process until now, we do school during Liam’s naps (usually for around two hours or so, sometimes less sometimes more) it just depends what we are learning that day. Mía Leticia has been easy and patient with Liam and what I love the most is definitely the love between the two of them. Spending more time together and as a family it has been such a blessing for us, and I wouldn’t change that for anything.

I’m not sure how this 2018 schedule will look, but I do know that if I have a plan it will work out just fine. Can't wait for new adventures, exploring and learning together lil’ William, I’m sure you will do amazing things in this world and I’m excited to see them! “ It is time for a new adventure!”
